It is indisputable that TV is an enormous tool and source of obtaining information. Depending on the number of channels avaliable we can learn different things about us, our planet and its history.
I agree that watching television can be enjoyable as well as harmful on the other hand. It is a double-edged sword. On the one hand we learn a lot of information which is regarded very useful and broadens our horizons. Several TV-channels provide special educational programs in different subjects such as maths, social studies, biologe, history, geogrephy, foreign languages and others. Many peoplehave already considerably benefited from such programs. However, there is a downside to watching TV a lot. Instood of a learning something useful many people get addicted to watching TV-soaps and music channels. Many violents films and blockbasters also damage children and teenagers'psuche. Whatching some films on TV is just a waste of precious time. Such programms as "Big brother" or "Fame factory" also mislead many TV viewers about the way of life and what real values of life are. Many programs make people envy, feel jealous and greedy.
Several suicides and murders commited by young people are known to have been caused by watching harmful and disgusting programs.
To conclude I'd like to outline that watching TV is the matter of what we are after. If you enjoy what you are watching and think that it may help you in your future life, then do it. If you don't, then do not.
